JODI STAMEY

Jodi is an experienced leader with more than 15 in developing strategic communications, fundraising programs, and partnership initiatives in U.S. and international markets.  She is skilled in identifying key challenges within an organization, executing a plan of action, and delivering targeted outcomes. 

Jodi's background has been focused on building new programs and realigning programs—at times being a change agent and at times being a creator (developing something from scratch). She has led external relations programs at three universities, this included partnership development, international programs, and external and internal communications management.  Jodi is skilled at at building high functioning teams and leading through organizational changes, including restructures, leadership changes, and programmatic re-focusing. 

Currently, she serves as the Vice President for  University Advancement at William Peace University in Raleigh, NC.  As a member of the University's Senior Leadership Team, she is responsible for providing leadership, planning and implementation of the University’s comprehensive fundraising and external relations efforts. Jodi is focused on the advancement of the mission, vision and goals of the University in concert with the President, other SLT members and the Board of Trustees. She also oversees the management of the WPU Foundation Board of Directors. 

Prior  to WPU, she served as the Director of International and External  Relations for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) in  St. Kitts where she led multi-functional teams to help grow the local community and international public relations programs.  Jodi has experience working with both public relations agencies and C-level executives on strategic plans and internal communications, including coaching executives for speaking engagements.  She has developed media relations plans have resulted in international press coverage and she has a strong background in managing crisis communications.
